Job Summary

The Payroll Assistant processes weekly payroll for 800 hourly employees, ensuring exact calculations and adherence to labor regulations. This position demands rigorous attention to detail and consistent execution within fixed processing schedules. Comprehensive Responsibilities

• Timesheet Auditing: Review and audit 800 weekly electronic timecards using Kronos Workforce Central to identify and resolve punch exceptions before payroll processing.
• Data Entry: Input 45 employee status changes, tax withholdings, and direct deposit updates into SAP Payroll weekly with zero margin for error.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve 15 to 20 payroll discrepancies or wage inquiries per week by referencing internal collective bargaining agreements.
• Report Generation: Generate 12 standard weekly compliance and labor cost reports using Microsoft Excel pivot tables for review by the finance director.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of professional experience processing high-volume payroll within an enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing automated payroll software and advanced Microsoft Excel functions including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification with coursework in mathematics or bookkeeping.
• Ability to work strictly on-site during designated business hours with the capacity to meet fixed processing deadlines.
